Opening up September 1st, this room is located in a gorgeous 3 story, 4 bedroom victorian-style home in Heritage Hill on Crescent St NE. Only 250/month +utilities.
There are 3 other roommates who are students at GVSU, ages 23-24, and are fun, interesting people. Looking for a male or female roommate to fill in the 4th bedroom.
2 living rooms, 2 bathrooms, full kitchen and dining room. Plenty of storage in basement and an easy walk to GVSU and GRCC campuses, Spectrum Health and St. Mary's.

So...hopefully someone has some information for me on this. I'm going to get my first tattoo this weekend (hopefully). My friend suggested Mos Eisleys. Anyone have experience with this place? Any idea how much about their tats run? I want mine on my ankle or just above, done all in black ink...not very big or detailed. It's tribal-like, to give an idea of what I mean, except it's a music-themed tat. Anything I should know?
If you're not a fan of Mos Eisleys, then any other suggestions out there? |

| Meijer Madness--Yeah, It's that Time Already! |

Hi everybody! I'm here to pose a question to any Grand Valley student who comes across this post. For those of you who have been to Meijer Madness in the past, you know that most of us go there for the fun times, the free food, and the free stuff. Some people actually brave the lines and grocery shop that night, but a lot of us stay far away from those long lines!
This year, Meijer Madness is on Thursday, August 21st around 10 PM. (Grand Valley's been advertising it for a while in Kirkhof, and I work at the Standale Meijer.)
Anyway, Meijer has some tables that give away free gift cards to those who are lucky enough to win carnival type games. The radio stations just hand out free stuff, and Meijer has other tables with raffles and drawings and the like. However, this year, I managed to get a spot for the Harry Potter Club to advertise with Meijer Madness Night. I'm curious as to what sort of reasonable prizes the student body at large would enjoy competing for at our table. I want to make it fun and exciting, especially as the place where we managed to get a table is right by where the long lines for the express checkout lanes usually wind back toward. But, I'm also open and looking for ideas. What would make any of you--even if you aren't interested in Harry Potter--swing by our table to check out our free stuff (besides the fact that it's just free)? |

Normally I can figure this stuff out myself, but this is beyond my technical knowhow and I need advice.
I have an HP Pavilion a1020n.
The system specs say my RAM type is DDR2 PC3200, and I have a gig and a half worth of 3200 in there now.
I sauntered over to Crucial after checking Tigerdirect and NewEgg and finding slim pickings. Crucial says that I can use DDR2 PC4200. Is this the case? If so, are there any stipulations? Can I mix and match 3200 and 4200?
I'm also looking at upgrading my video card. The best I can find (bearing in mind that my system ONLY has PCI slots, no PCI express or AGP) is this card or this card. Any recommendations of one over the other? Any suggestions I haven't been able to find?
The ram is really the biggest question, so any help with that would be much appreciated. |

Hey guys! So my roommate and I are currently living in Laker Village and we're sick of paying too much for it, so we found a house three miles from campus.
It's 350 a month plus utilities (since we're students, she's knocking off $100 a month). There's three bedrooms and a den/office that we're converting into the fourth bedroom, a deck, huge yard, washer and dryer, gas stove, microwave, hardwood floors, huge kitchen, and we're getting a turtle because the owner isn't allowing furry animals.
We are two/maybe three easy going girls who aren't really into partying at all. We study, share food, speak random foreign languages, and have a five foot Snoopy. Don't worry, he's house trained. ^_^
We're looking for another girl (sorry guys) who we can have some fun times with and share memories together and all that other good cheesy stuff.
ETA: We're also looking for super cheap/free furniture, if anyone has any leads, let me know! |

I hope I'm not disturbing the community. I'm not trying to be a spammer, but I am moving in 1 week to FL and need to empty my apartment before then! I am selling everything!! So if you or anyone you know is getting into an apt. and needs stuff, and they live near Bay City, we might be able to help each other! I have a sectional, a wall a/c, dresser, vanity, microwave, vacuum, IKEA stuff,and more. All prices are negotiable, but we are trying to take 2 cars to FL, and with the way gas is today we could use all the help we can get!! I have everything listed behind the cut. Hey all,
Some "friends" of ours have left some animals in our care, and they need to be rehomed as soon as possible.
There is a cat, female, possibly pregnant, no one is for sure. Very shy, apparently was a stray, not declawed, but is housebroken, and gets along well with other pets. She really needs a good home, and we're asking a $25 rehoming fee for her. She's orange, brown, and white. Very cute.
We also have two baby bunnies that need to be rehomed ASAP. They're about 10 weeks old, sex unknown. One is black with a white nose and belly. The other is mostly white with a couple butterscotch spots on its back, and its ears. Both are very lovey, and are in desperate need of a new home. Asking a $10 rehoming fee.

Yesterday I napped for too long and my landlord came by to show the apartment to prospective tenants. I had to deposit some cash at an ATM (my bank lied about how late their lobby's open on Saturdays) but didn't have my account number handy. I hastily threw my laptop in my bag and drove towards the bank, wardriving with MacStumbler. Just to find an open network to allow me to sign into my bank account online and get my number. It's astonishing how commonplace the wireless router is now. I drove around slowly waiting to hear the "open network" sound but enjoyed hearing the constant pings and lost focus.
